Blue Rivers

Wearing bright blue gym shorts in public is cool, right? Sadly I don't own proper comfy go-out-in-public-shorts so these obviously had to be my first choice. But, they're comfy, so who cares if they were meant for basketball and whatnot.

I had - slightly - a River Phoenix movie marathon day, I watched one of his called Dogfight, oh gosh I'm in love with that movie, thanks Rachel! He and Lili Taylor are brilliant in it. After that I started on another called Running on Empty but I stopped to get something to eat and never finished it, ironic..
I'm planning to finish the night with Stand By Me, but I don't feel like crying. Really, that movie always makes me cry.

  1. Oh, I'm so glad you watched Dogfight! I love that film so much! I saw Running on Empty a few weeks back for the first time, and I liked it too, but not as much as some of his others (Stand by Me & Private Idaho, and Dogfight of course!). If you're in the mood for another Phoenix film, I'd recommend The Thing Called Love; it isn't prefect, nor is it one of his best films, but it has some great moments (see: the convenience store wedding)--though I guess I should mention that I'm in Nashville at the moment, so I can't get it off my mind, haha!
I like how you've dressed up the gym shorts a bit--I didn't realize that was what they were until you mentioned it! They look good! x

  16. Gorgeous top and you totally pull off those shorts! I love the bright blue color of the shorts, they're great with the tribal print. You have some great legs too! :-D I should watch more River Phoenix movies too. I've only seen Stand by me but it's in my top 10 of favorite movies of all time. It always makes me cry too and River Phoenix is just a brilliant actor (as are the other kids, not for a single moment to I feel irritated by their acting and I'm very cringy when it comes to kids acting).
